Uproot is a fresh new drink from ABInBev’s innovation group, ZX Ventures. They wanted to launch a brand new alcoholic beverage category in the UK and we jumped at the challenge.
ZX wanted to launch an innovative craft drink, inspired by beer brands but taking a fresh approach to alcoholic brewing. Our job was to help them define the market, the beverage category and create a whole new UK brand.
Looking at beverage trends, industry insights and visual cues to build our strategy, we developed a bold, confident brand to fit the UK market. Using clear, friendly illustration and bright, vibrant colours, our design focused on al fresco landscapes to emphasise the world of Uproot – outdoors, urban and busy.
Uproot went down so well with their international team that they also launched the brand in bottles in Mexico. Uproot recently launched in London at Craft Beer Rising 2017 alongside major craft cider and beer brands.
