We’re really proud to have been able to join with some inspiring and admirable forces amidst the Covid-19 crisis.
Some of those people are the team behind the non-profit CoVisor project who are mass producing protective face shields for healthcare workers down here in Cornwall. We had the pleasure of creating a basic, functional logo for the project, enabling them to approach suppliers and supporters with a professional brand.
The CoVisor team, local engineers and designers Sam Lanyon, Shawn Brown and Francis Dufort, have already smashed their initial target which would allow them to produce 1000 face masks a day to supply to Cornwall’s healthcare staff for cost price and hospitals in the county for free. Now, they are looking to double the daily production by extending the Crowdfunder campaign to a target of £15,000.
Work has already begun on the next face shield version for use in Intensive Care Units. Public support will help the CoVisor team to achieve this and to equip as many healthcare staff as possible; helping them save lives and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Once they’ve met all of Cornwall’s needs, the team are aiming to supply healthcare workers across the UK. If they manage to outstrip demand, the CoVisor project will donate additional stock to theNEAD.co.uk, who distribute PPE donations to the country as a whole.
Having received requests from the NHS in Cornwall for other essential protective equipment, Sam and the team are also going to use donations to supply additional kit including protective gowns, which they are able to source at a crazily good price through an international shipping agent.
It is such an important endeavour at this time and we’re so pleased to know these guys, let alone have been able to aid them in their efforts. We know these are difficult times for everyone, but if you can spare anything to help the CoVisor project help our NHS and healthcare workers, here’s the crowdfunder link: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/covisor
Thank you – on behalf of our team and Sam, Shawn, Francis and their team, too.
